Welcome!

My name is Herb Higginbotham, and I am in my 8th year of teaching.  I am the principal for Alton Darby Elementary, a K-5 elementary building in Hilliard, Ohio.  I am the father of two beautiful daughters and I am married to my wonderful wife, Carrie.

I originally started this blog to share what I am learning about educational leadership as I begin my journey through the principalship. This blog is intended to serve as a record of my journey for others who may be interested in the principalship, and as a portfolio of my learning.
